Tre Valli is one of the most extensive and technologically advanced ski resorts in the Dolomiti Superski area, located at the San Pellegrino Mountain Pass in Italy.




Tre Valli comprises three beautiful villages of Falcade, Moena-Alpe di Lusia and San Pellegrino and offers over 100 kilometres of wide and well prepared ski slopes at an altitude ranging between 1100 and 2500 metres above sea level. There are also 27 modern ski lifts and a programmed snow making network, which is one of the best in Europe.




Tre Valli is a great place for winter activities, such as Alpine skiing, carving, telemark, snowboarding, cross country skiing, and simply relaxation in the middle of splendid snow covered landscape. All three villages are well interlinked by the ski lift system and offer a wide range of apres ski activities.


Welcome to Valle Isarco ski region in Italy! It includes six beautiful ski resorts of Gitschberg-Maranza/Meransen, Plose-Bressanone/Brixen, Jochtal-Valles/Vals, Luson, Velturno/Feldthurns and Val di Funes/Villnsser Tal. You need only one ski pass to access all of them.

Valle Vigezzo is a lovely ski resort, located at an elevation of 1712 metres above sea level, in the Piemonte region in Italy. Picturesque landscape, majestic mountains and authentic villages attract many nature lovers, skiers, snowboarders and those who simply seek relaxation in the middle of untouched nature.





Valle Vigezzo skiing area includes 20 kilometres of downhill ski runs, served by 5 ski lifts. Though skiing area is not very extensive, it offers an impressive 1264 metres vertical descend. The skiing area is ideal for beginners, but intermediate skiers and experts can also find some suitable for them terrain.

Cross country skiing enthusiasts can enjoy 20 kilometres of trails, which lead from municipalities of Santa Maria Maggiore to Druogno through beautiful snow covered landscapes. There is also an outdoor ice rink in Valle Vigezzo, where you can practice ice skating, curling and ice hockey.

Styles of Skiing

Disciplines of different styles have evolved in skiing. Each style is unique in its own way and hence different from the others. Right from free style skiing to skiing in the countryside, skiing comes in different disciplines. If a review on different styles is scrutinized you will get an idea of how each style is different. A terrain of the flat kind is best for skiing of the cross country types which is better known as ‘Nordic skiing’. A terrain that is downhill is not used in this kind of skiing.




Weight of the skier gets distributed very easily so thin skis or long skis are used. For this kind of skiing special kinds of skis adaptable to the countryside are available. To move forward or to propel the body special poles are also needed. Binding is used to attach the ski to the boots, to allow the heel to remain free in skiing on the countryside. Downhill skiing is very popular too, where the terrain used can prove to be quite challenging. Depending on the snow and skiers height, skis for skiing downhill are available in varying shapes and length.




Foot of the skier is held steadily with plastic that is reinforced used in ski boots. Besides this, even the poles needed are tweaked. In the case of backcountry skiing, skiers prefer freedom and solitude and hence peaks that are very high and hills of the rolling kinds are best chosen.
